R421Z is part of a family of AMI based 3 phase CT operated energy meters by MTI. It is DLMS/ COSEM certified which communicates data to MDC (Meter Data Collector) and MDM (Meter Data Management) using ZigBee communication (2.4 GHz) technology. This meter is fully capable of providing energy related value added services & reducing administrative costs. Not only does it provide load management and demand forecasting, it also helps consumers in demand side management and to adjust their consumption behavior. 

This model has comprehensive anti-tampering, load profiling and events recording features. It is capable of storing the data up to 24 months billing period with more than 200 events. A two element standard optical interface in accordance with IEC62056-21 has also been provided for the purpose of parameterization and downloading the data to PC/Laptop.
