Load Data Improvement Project (LDIP)

To mitigate the instances of unplanned load shedding by monitoring load and losses at grid and feeder level, MicroTech Industries was selected to implement first of its kind AMI technology implementation. This project was awarded by PITC and sponsored by USAID. The solution is based on MicroTech’s fleet of Advanced Metering Infrastructure solutions including metering and backend software system that is deployed at all nine utility companies as well as the National Power Control Center (NPCC). AMI Project for MEPCO & PESCO

The AMI Project for MEPCO & PESCO is a USAID funded largest smart metering project in South Asia. This project is based on an end-to-end turnkey GPRS enabled smart metering solution that is being implemented in two utility companies (MEPCO & PESCO) to cater to the residential, agricultural (tube-wells), small industrial and public sector consumers. The project aims to reduce distribution losses and modernize the electricity metering and billing operations. Download File

USAID Funded Project Engility

Itron USA and MTI Pakistan teamed up together to implement an AMI and RF based solution. The Project was divided into two Parts i.e., Part A: Automated Meter Reading (AMR) System and Part B: RF Enabled Handheld Meter Reading System. The solution for Part A involved components from both parties (Itron and MTI), whereas the technical solution for Part B came solely from MTI.

Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) Project

MicroTech Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. has been successfully running 200 GSM/GPRS based smart energy meters pilot project at GEPCO region Pakistan. MicroTech Industries not only designed, manufactured and supplied the AMI solution but also provided training to GEPCO personnel.
